Ridgecrest Painting Company
Ridgecrest Painting Company runs two crews on residential repaints and small commercial projects. Work is invoiced on completion, but the inherited file has payments waiting to be applied and transactions that need investigation.
The assignment is to make the inherited file dependable. Start with work invoiced on completion, trace the related receipts, and investigate the transactions that need attention. Bring the supplier records and bank statements into the same picture so the finished quarter explains the painting business's activity rather than carrying its unresolved differences forward.
The work you'll take on
- Trace invoices for residential repaints and small commercial projects to receipts.
- Investigate unapplied payments and questionable customer or supplier entries.
- Reconcile both accounts using the supporting records.
- Check your completed books against the included Practice Review.
Each monthly release features a different simulated business. Check the client name and release month before purchasing.
