Terms of Service.

These Terms and Conditions and Digital Product License ("Terms") govern access to qbodojo.com and all QBO Dojo products, subscriptions, simulations, downloads, and related services.

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms and Conditions and Digital Product License ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "User") and QBO Dojo LLC, an Arizona limited liability company ("QBO Dojo," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your access to qbodojo.com (the "Website") and all products, subscriptions, live simulations, downloads, content, and related services offered by QBO Dojo (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account, placing an order, beginning a download, accessing a simulation, enrolling in a subscription, or otherwise using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms, the Refund and Cancellation Policy, the Privacy Policy, and any product-specific terms displayed at checkout. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the Services. If you use the Services for a business or other entity, you represent that you are authorized to bind that entity.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a binding contract. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account or making a purchase.

3. QBO Dojo Offerings

QBO Dojo is a self-directed bookkeeping learning and practice environment. QBO Dojo may provide: general educational content through the Learning Library; self-directed practice clients and materials; a peer learner community; and simulated client experiences. Each standalone practice client includes a Client Brief, import-ready bookkeeping materials, supporting records, exercises and objectives, and a Practice Review. Standalone Practice Client customers must obtain and maintain their own compatible QuickBooks Online access; QBO Dojo provides the QBO subscription for Live Client Simulation as described in the Live Client Simulation & Credential Terms. QBO Dojo does not provide individualized bookkeeping coaching or tutoring. Community discussion is peer-generated and should not be treated as professional advice. QBO Dojo staff moderation or general educational posts do not create an obligation to answer learner bookkeeping questions. Live Client Simulation responses provide simulated client facts, not bookkeeping instruction. Users remain responsible for decisions involving real clients.

Product descriptions, included materials, access periods, and current prices are shown on the applicable sales or checkout page. If product-specific terms conflict with these Terms, the product-specific terms control only for that product.

4. Accounts and Security

Accounts are issued to individual users and may not be shared. You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and for all activity conducted through your account. Notify us promptly at support@qbodojo.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or restrict access when we reasonably believe an account has been compromised, credentials are being shared, or payment is overdue or disputed.

5. Ownership and Definition of Content

"QBO Dojo Content" includes all practice clients, Client Briefs, Practice Reviews, exercises, objectives, scenarios, business information, transaction data, CSV files, statements, client communications, instructions, graphics, reports, sample completed work, comparison materials, automated feedback, review materials, downloads, website text, and other materials supplied through the Services. QBO Dojo Content is owned by or licensed to QBO Dojo LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, trade-secret, and other intellectual-property laws. A purchase provides a license to use Content; it does not transfer ownership.

6. Single-User License

Subject to payment and continued compliance with these Terms, QBO Dojo grants the customer a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable, nonsublicensable license to use purchased QBO Dojo Content for the customer's own individual practice and professional development. One purchase authorizes one user. Organizations, training providers, schools, businesses, employers, or other entities wishing to provide QBO Dojo materials to multiple people need an appropriate Organizational License.

7. License Restrictions

You may not: share credentials, download links, or purchased materials with another person; copy, publish, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense, assign, or transfer Content; upload Content to shared drives, public websites, or public repositories; distribute practice materials to students, employees, clients, groups, or other third parties; share QBO Dojo materials through Facebook groups, Discord, shared drives, course platforms, file-sharing services, or similar systems; post the Practice Review publicly; use Content to train or sell competing products; or remove copyright or proprietary notices. You may make reasonable personal backup copies necessary to complete the simulation.

8. Public Excerpts, Work Samples, and AI Tools

You may use brief excerpts or screenshots for genuine commentary and may privately show completed work samples to prospective employers or clients. You may use Content with AI tools for your own personal practice, provided Content is not made publicly accessible or used to create competing products.

9. Standalone Product Delivery

Standalone products are delivered electronically. Unless stated otherwise, purchased materials must be downloaded within 30 calendar days after purchase. Users are responsible for maintaining backup copies. Properly downloaded materials may be retained indefinitely by the licensed customer.

10. Practice Review

QBO Dojo is designed for bookkeeping practice and skill development. Educational content is provided for general training purposes and is not accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice. Requirements and accounting treatment may vary based on the facts, jurisdiction, entity type, and applicable standards.

Practice Clients may include a learner-facing Practice Review containing intended accounting outcomes, selected transaction treatments, balances, reconciliation results, or other scenario-specific reference information. The Practice Review is provided as a self-directed comparison resource. Users may consult it at any point during their work, although QBO Dojo may recommend attempting the Practice Client independently before doing so. The Practice Review is not individualized bookkeeping instruction, professional advice, or a step-by-step tutorial. It provides the reference outcome for the controlled simulation, but it is not guidance for a real-world client whose facts, jurisdiction, entity type, or applicable standards may differ. It should not be treated as accounting, tax, legal, financial, or professional advice for an actual client or business.

11. QuickBooks Online Subscription Requirement

QuickBooks Online access is NOT included in the purchase of a standalone QBO Dojo Practice Client unless a specific offer expressly states otherwise. The customer is responsible for obtaining access to the appropriate QuickBooks Online subscription needed for the practice level. Minimum plan requirements are: White Belt, Simple Start; Orange Belt, Plus; Black Belt, Advanced. QBO Dojo does not control Intuit pricing, plan availability, product changes, or access. For Live Client Simulation, QBO Dojo provides and pays for the QuickBooks Online company used by the simulated client during the paid engagement, as described in the Live Client Simulation & Credential Terms.

12. Live Client Simulation

Live Client Simulation is a recurring digital service in which QBO Dojo provides temporary access to an individual QuickBooks company containing a simulated business scenario. QBO Dojo acts as the simulated business client, not as an instructor. The simulated client provides scenario facts; it does not tell the bookkeeper which entry to make, coach the bookkeeper, or provide answers on demand. Live Client Simulation includes a binding 90-day initial commitment and is subject to the Live Client Simulation & Credential Terms, which supplement these Terms and control for Live-specific matters.

13. Simulation Data and End of Access

If and when you participate in a Live Client Simulation, the simulation is exclusively for QBO Dojo practice scenarios. Do not enter actual confidential client or personal data. When an active Live Client Simulation engagement ends, active subscription access to the simulation and its QuickBooks Online company ends. Where a learner completes the initial 90-day engagement with all required payments made, possible continued accountant read-only access to that company is governed by the Live Client Simulation & Credential Terms and depends on Intuit’s then-current policies. Where required payments are not made, access ends when the engagement ends and company materials may be deleted without recovery.

14. Initial Commitment and Optional Continuation

Live Client Simulation begins with a binding 90-day initial commitment, and the first payment is due when you enroll. The monthly payment option does not create a cancellable one-month trial. After the initial 90-day engagement, continuing month-to-month requires a separate opt-in at the same monthly rate; continuation is never automatic. For prepaid enrollments, the first 90 days are paid in full at enrollment, and continuation after the initial engagement likewise requires a separate opt-in. 15. Cancellation

You may cancel through your online account or by emailing support@qbodojo.com at least 3 business days prior to the renewal or continuation date. For Live Client Simulation, a cancellation request during the initial 90-day commitment prevents continuation after the initial term but does not eliminate the remaining payments required under the initial commitment. Because continuation after the initial engagement requires a separate opt-in, cancellation prevents that opt-in; it does not stop an already-authorized continuation payment for the current period. 16. Prices, Taxes, and Payment

Prices may change for future purchases. Applicable taxes are added at checkout. Payments are processed securely via Stripe or GoHighLevel Payments.

17. International Customers

QBO Dojo materials are designed for U.S. accounting environments. International users are responsible for compliance with their local requirements.

18. Support

QBO Dojo provides technical, billing, access, accessibility, and product support through the normal support channel. QBO Dojo does not provide individualized bookkeeping coaching, tutoring, or staff answers to learner work. Support does not include individualized accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice. No real client confidential data should be posted in the community or entered into QBO Dojo practice or simulation features unless a future expressly authorized secure feature says otherwise.

19. Technical Requirements and Third-Party Services

Except where a product expressly states that required software is included, customers are responsible for obtaining the software and access necessary to use QBO Dojo products. Standalone Practice Clients generally require the learner to obtain their own applicable QuickBooks Online access. For Live Client Simulation, QBO Dojo creates, pays for, and provisions the QuickBooks Online company used by the simulated client as described in the Live Client Simulation & Credential Terms. QBO Dojo does not control third-party platforms.

20. Availability and Service Changes

Services are provided without uptime guarantee. Maintenance and outages may affect temporary availability.

21. No Real Client Information

Do not submit real Social Security numbers, bank credentials, tax identification numbers, or confidential financial records.

22. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Services unlawfully, introduce malware, reverse engineer materials, scrape data, or impersonate others.

23. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for material violations of these Terms, nonpayment, or suspected security risks.

24. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Contact support@qbodojo.com first to resolve billing discrepancies. Unfounded chargebacks may result in immediate account suspension.

25. Built for Internal Consistency

QBO Dojo practice clients are subjected to substantial structural and bookkeeping validation before release. However, software and digital materials may still contain errors. QBO Dojo does not warrant zero defects, perfect accuracy, error-free operation, uninterrupted availability, or guaranteed reconciliation under every user-created configuration.

26. Credentials and No Guarantee

Completion of standalone QBO Dojo Practice Clients does not grant a credential or guarantee employment, client acquisition, income, professional readiness, or business success. Standalone Practice Client belt levels (White Belt, Orange Belt, Black Belt) describe the bookkeeping difficulty of the Practice Client and do not constitute a credential.

QBO Dojo LLC issues Applied Bookkeeping Belt credentials (Applied Bookkeeping White Belt, Applied Bookkeeping Orange Belt, Applied Bookkeeping Black Belt) to learners who meet the applicable assessment standard in Live Client Simulation. These are private performance credentials based on demonstrated bookkeeping performance within the applicable QBO Dojo simulated-client environment. They are not governmental or professional licensure, not an Intuit or QuickBooks certification, and not a guarantee of employment, future performance, or suitability for every client or engagement. 27. Intuit and QuickBooks Disclaimer

QBO Dojo is independent and not affiliated with, sponsored by, approved by, or endorsed by Intuit Inc. QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online are registered trademarks of Intuit Inc. References identify third-party software with which QBO Dojo materials may be used.

28. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

29. Limitation of Liability

To the max extent permitted by law, QBO Dojo's total aggregate liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific product involved or subscription fees paid in the prior 12 months.

30. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless QBO Dojo from third-party claims arising from your breach of these Terms or unauthorized distribution of Content.

31. Force Majeure

QBO Dojo is not liable for failures or delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including internet disruptions or third-party outages.

32. Informal Dispute Resolution

Parties agree to attempt good-faith informal resolution for 30 days before initiating formal legal proceedings.

33. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by Arizona law. Exclusive venue lies in state and federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.

34. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms with 30 days' notice for active customers regarding material modifications.

35. General Provisions

If any provision is found unenforceable, remaining provisions remain in full force. These Terms constitute the entire agreement.

36. Community Access and Conduct

QBO Dojo may provide customers or other approved participants access to private communities, discussion groups, or similar community spaces, including the private QBO Dojo Facebook group. Community participation is optional. Community discussion is primarily peer-to-peer. The community does not replace the Practice Review and is not live tutoring. Community access is conditioned on following the posted rules for that community and treating other participants appropriately.

QBO Dojo may suspend or permanently revoke community access for conduct including harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats, discriminatory conduct, unauthorized sharing of QBO Dojo materials or Practice Reviews, spam, solicitation, or other behavior that materially disrupts or harms the community or its members. Serious violations may result in immediate removal without prior warning. QBO Dojo does not guarantee answers, response times, professional advice, or perpetual availability of Facebook or another third-party platform.

Community access is separate from the license to QBO Dojo products lawfully purchased. Removal from a community does not, by itself, cancel access to purchased products unless separate provisions of these Terms or the applicable product license have also been violated.
